Pittacus Lore is the collective literary pseudonym associated with the bestselling young adult science-fiction series Lorien Legacies, its companion novellas, the sequel series Lorien Legacies Reborn and the later Ashfall books.
The name is also part of the mythology of Lorien Legacies: within the fictional universe, Pittacus Lore is an Elder of the planet Lorien and a chronicler of its history.
The original publishing project was developed by James Frey and Jobie Hughes, although the creative collaboration behind the pseudonym evolved as the franchise expanded.
