π About Dani Francis
Dani Francis is a bestselling author of dystopian romance and speculative fiction, best known for the Silver Elite series.
Although Silver Elite (2025) was her first novel published under this name, Dani Francis is not a newcomer to the publishing world. Dani Francis is a pseudonym used by an established New York Times bestselling author who has previously published books under multiple pen names.
Her real identity has not been publicly confirmed, making her one of the more intriguing figures in contemporary commercial fiction.
The mystery surrounding her identity attracted considerable attention when Silver Elite was released. Readers speculated about which established author might be behind the name, but none of the popular theories has been officially verified.
Beyond the speculation, however, Francis has established a recognisable style through her dystopian storytelling, combining political conflict, dangerous secrets, extraordinary abilities and emotionally complicated relationships.
Her Silver Elite series follows Wren Darlington, a young woman living in a divided society where people with psychic abilities face persecution. The story explores rebellion, identity, loyalty and the difficult choices people make when survival and personal relationships come into conflict.
The first novel, Silver Elite, was published in 2025, followed by Broken Dove in 2026.

π Why I Read Dani Francis
I discovered Dani Francis through Silver Elite, a book that immediately caught my attention because of its dystopian setting.
Fantasy and science fiction have always been among my favourite genres, and I particularly enjoy stories involving oppressive political systems, rebellion, unusual abilities and characters forced to make difficult choices.
Although I don’t usually gravitate towards romantasy, Silver Elite sounded like something I might genuinely enjoy.
And I was right.
From the opening chapters, I found myself completely absorbed in the story. Dani Francis introduces her world without overwhelming readers with complicated explanations or endless background information.
Instead, the setting unfolds naturally through the characters’ experiences, allowing the mystery and tension to develop alongside the action.
What particularly appealed to me was the atmosphere. While reading, I kept thinking about The Hunger Games and Red Queen. Not because Silver Elite copies either series, but because it captures a similar sense of danger, political conflict and uncertainty.
I also appreciated how the romantic elements complemented the story without overwhelming the larger plot.
The pacing was another highlight. I listened to the audiobook and found it incredibly difficult to stop. Every chapter seemed to introduce another question, revelation or complication.
For me, Silver Elite was a wonderful surprise and an excellent introduction to Dani Francis’s writing.

It’s particularly suitable for readers who enjoy dystopian settings, rebellion, dangerous secrets and protagonists who must hide their true identities.
Readers familiar with The Hunger Games, Red Queen or Divergent may recognise some of the atmosphere and themes, although Francis develops her own setting and characters.

π My Reading Experience
So far, I’ve read Silver Elite, and it turned out to be one of those books that immediately captures your attention and refuses to let go.
What impressed me most was its pacing.
I loved how naturally the world unfolded, without lengthy explanations interrupting the action. There was always something happening, yet the story never became unnecessarily confusing.
The characters and their relationships were engaging, although I occasionally wished certain emotional moments had been given a little more room to develop.
I also enjoyed the balance between the dystopian conflict and the romance. The larger story remained important throughout, which made the novel especially appealing to me as a fantasy and science fiction reader.
Silver Elite reminded me why I enjoy dystopian fiction so much: the political tensions, the hidden agendas, the dangerous choices and the constant uncertainty about whom to trust.
I’m looking forward to continuing the story with Broken Dove.
